Meaning of "Dropper" in the Indian Educational index

Well, most of the students and parents must have definitely heard of this word before.For those who don't , "Dropping" means exta-time given by students in preparation for various competitive examinations of India.Examinations like IIT-JEE,CAT,CPMT,AIIMS,IAS,PCS are extremely tough to crack,and usually require special attention, So various Students across India "drop" the whole year "or a few months" to give their best shot for such hardcore competitions. Such students in Educational jargon are called "Droppers"!!
